Jakob Heuser
Besides working on felocity.org, I also work as a developer and administrator for Gaia Online, one of the fastest growing avatar based social communities on the web. When not programming, I'm programming other things. When not faced with a desire to code I take enjoyment in video games, photography, and music. The randomness on my iPod has been known to scare people. I'm coming up on year 6 of a web professional (year 8 if you consider a shopping cart in 1998), and am living comfortably in San Jose, CA. Since about pages have never been my thing, I'll leave this in the trusting hands of my friends.
In the Words of Erin
Hmm, what to say about Jakob. I guess if I had to start somewhere it'd be when we first met. He happened to be chillin on a bench at Anime Boston, fairly inconspicuous minus the OMG hat (which is what caught my attention). I being the weirdo I am went over and said "Oh My God you have an OMG on your head!" Over the next three hours he answered damn near every question I could throw at him. If I had to pin down that conversation I'd say he's a little off kilter (he put up with me!) and very laid back easy going guy. We still talk though he's usually busy doing crazy things at Gaia so conversations are much shorter than 3 hours.
Jakob's very tech savvy and intelligent as anything I've seen when it comes to computers, programming, site work etc. The wonderful part is he can break it down to something fairly understandable for my feeble mind and I love him dearly for it. Another thing I've noticed is that Jakob is pretty easy to entertain. Tell him that he can crack ice cubes with the back of a spoon and he's set for the next 30 minutes. ^_~ In all seriousness though Jakob is one of the friendliest, caring, most easy going people I've ever met and I'm glad to call him friend.
