S.F. X-Perience

January 27, 2002 @ 01:01 am

I am on an emotional high. I am loving every instant of it.

The music from the guy upstairs is drifting into my room, something that would usually annoy me drive me crazy, and yet it isn't tonight. I am charged. It is an emotional charge, a feeling I haven't had in quite a long while. For those that missed my previous memo, Saturday was spent in S.F. to watch Beauty and the Beast in all its IMAX goodness. But wait, the fun doesn't stop there. I also got to hang out with the absolutely supreme DanceVixen (as if B&tB wasn't cool enough) and do some window shopping. Okay, Jakob. Deep breaths are needed. Here is the day.…

Working Hardly

January 22, 2002 @ 10:01 pm

It is up. Finally, after all this time, that secret project can be leaked out more than before. Fanboy Otaku Gamers Club Adventure (FOGADV) has a new layout. And the new layout is very pleasing, and seems to fit the new site. It looks more professional, and has a very tight feel to it. There is still a few minor things to fix, and as I catch the little things, I am sending them to D's email account. That should be the last of fixes though, so do feel free to enjoy the new site. I am actually very pleased with it, and Dennis is a wonderful person to do things with. He has a pretty good idea what he wants, and from the first version, was always able to convey exactly what it was he had in his mind. If the site ever chooses to evolve again, hopefully I will be able to make the site look even better. I have noticed that every time you finish a design, something better pops into your head. I guess it is just part of that ever elusive process.

I am packing right now, as opposed to earlier when I was on the phone with Spi, talking with Firefly on ICQ, and playing my music. I kept waiting for ChilleD to come back online so I knew to call, but that never happened. My room is rather astray, as the camera image indicates. It will only get worse before it gets better as well, since I have to deal with all my clothes, and I have very limited room since there are other boxes as well. While packing for school, I also have to pack since the room will be have new carpet laid, a byproduct of the flooding we endured.…

One day Becomes two

January 22, 2002 @ 01:01 pm

This will be a two part entry, if only because I intent to start it, post it, and then write in an update later tonight. Today has gone rather well for a Monday, although there is a lot I have to do tomorrow before I go back to school. Namely, I need to pack up my entire desk. "Strawberry Jam" by The Fine Print plays in the background, but since it is on shuffle I have no idea what is next. (Update: It was "It's all a Secret" by Akiko Yajima. Mad props and recognition to the first person to comment on what anime series the song is from, as well as what character Akiko plays. It is what is called an "image song", which is a fancy phrase for a song sung by the voice actor related to their character. I have yet to find one that isn't pretty in its own way.)

Blastrom got off to a late start, so instead of coming over early in the morning, we are meeting at Baja Fresh, which is a small little restaurant we go to just to chill. I will be getting a limited edition of Blastorm Zombie Killer, which I have seen and I know is simply amazing. My first limited edition comicit's something to be proud of. After that, at 8 something tonight, I am supposed to meet up with Carrie like I mentioned in my last entry. Hopefully she remembers to call though, as she sometimes forgets these things. ^_^…

Late Night Entry

January 12, 2002 @ 01:01 am

Yeah, the picture above seems to tell it all: I needed to update the world. I haven't been around much, but there is actually good reason for it. I have been hard at work carrying all three of my current projects. The first one is my website, and the second is the ca.com site, but the third is still a mystery and will probably remain so until the official launch date. At present, all I can say is it is a website that I currently have a link to on my page, and that I am very honored to be doing this site.

So in terms of the daylight hours, that has been my task. Tonight (since I do not call it morning until I wake up) we went to a Japanese restaurant and my brother tried sushi for the first time. And, as luck may have it, he liked it. My mother on the other hand, had her own opinion of the concept called raw fish. If you want to find out about Mikuni, go ahead and click the name, or click this.…

Another Day

January 08, 2002 @ 10:01 pm

In the pic above is the wonderful Carrie, who stopped by to drop off a few things and say hi. Since I only see her about six or seven days out of the year, we have a lot of catching up to do. Our time talking was cut short by insurance people, but more on that later.

For the most part, today is over. Although a lot was accomplished today, it was very taxing. I got a little more work done on the California.com stuff, but I still have a long way to go (especially content wise). I also managed to finish my final remake for a while. Although I enjoyed Critical Mass, I got a great idea from staring at a Pepsi can. Inspiration comes from the strangest places. Outside of that, here is how the day progressed.…
