The hour says "sleep", the Dr Pepper says "write" and when it comes down to Dr Pepper or sleep, you know which one is going to win.
I lied, the Dr Pepper was drank, but sleep still won in a surprising upset over caffination.
So it's Friday morning, and I have ICST capstones to see in the morning, and TAT capstones to see tonight. Let me try and sum up yesterday in a spiffy list.
Morning: I did jack shit. And it was nice. Oh how it was nice. I got to sleep in, I took a shower when I was ready, made lunch, talked with piroko, Hyacynth, and the usual crew. Oh, I also got my panel stuff down for Fanime and Anime Expo, which makes me very happy.
Afternoon: I decided to go to Home Depot with Gretchen. I also have no idea where Home Depot actually is. So we instead opted for OSH. I got a good plastic for my sword lightening, and am going to Ace tomorrow to get the Welder's Steel for it, although now I know exactly how much to get. I also printed up my reference pictures so I have those on tap. I don't think Marth will be done by Fanime, so I am focusing instead on Zel for AX. I also got aluminum tape, duct tape, epoxy, and a few other things. I need masking tape and an a utility knife to cut the plastic, but that's a quick trip. I'm feeling a lot more confident about the sword now that I have some materials that are a lot easier to work with.
Evening: Okay, this is probably going to take up a lot of space. Erin and I got dinner and went to the TAT capstone festival. There were a lot of films done by my friends, or that my friends had a direct hand in. Dead air looked really good, but I think my favorite was Roulette. Both Tessa and I were sitting there mumbling "don't go back, don't do it, PLEASE don't do it" at the end. It seemed to really capture the moment. Oh yeah, I spent the evening keeping Tessa company who was usher for the night. Michelle, not a WORD from you; you either Erin! Anyway, when all was said and done, I gave Tessa some contact information and migrated to the lobby. And who should be there but Tammy Albino. The same Tammy who was responsible for the dancing potato, who I spent many hours with talking on the 205 dorm couch with, who removed my necklace freshman year, who is just silly and Tammy. I was shocked, amazed, and very happy. I jumped up and down, squealed a little bit, and got to talk to her for a bit before I needed to get going. It was so nice to see an old friend, even if we only hadn't seen each other for about a year. Hopefully we will get to hang out and play catch up this weekend. I have a lot of burning questions.
I got home, I slept, I awoke. I am now off to watch the computer science capstones so that I can see what people are doing, and hopefully get an idea of what I have committed myself to this next year. Brent's capstone is tonight, so I will be back at the TAT capstone for that. Such a crazy set of days.
