I didn't realize how dependant on the Internet I was. Not just for mindless entertainment, but also for important things like WORK, SCHOOL, and WEBMASTER jobs. My life as a student is far to tied to the online world. It's something I need and use on a daily basis without even knowing it. I took it for granted. It rained or a fly coughed or something equally stupid, and like that the Internet at our house in Seaside vanished.
Oh, I need to check my online account statement. NO I can get my assignment off of the campus- NO E-mail? NO AOL Instant Messenger? NO Online Games?! NO IRC?! NO
I'm sure you can see where this is going. Even things as simple as checking my account balance for my bank account have become a monumental task. I feel so disconnected from everything, and it sucks terribly bad. Hopefully there will be a technician who will fix things. The lack of Internet of course came at the worst possible time: right at the onset of finals. I suppose now is as good a time to start the big list of stuff left for the semester.
Stuff Count 1 HCOM Portfolio (due Tue) 1 UNIX Final (on Wed) 1 MATH Final (on Thurs) 1 CST PowerPoint (due Thurs) 1 CST Capstone Proposal (signed) (due Thurs)
That doesn't look too bad... except that the two CST things require Internet to function properly. I suppose that is one big thing to look forward to... having Internet and food I don't have to pay for.
In unrelated news, I get to go to Disneyland January 12 and 13. I'm looking very forward to it.
Now to go and abuse more Internet, read more web sites, and try to catch up with the rest of the world.

Dude I would have never though I would name a crab ‘Chris” then proceed to dump it into a pot of boiling water with ‘Sean’ and ‘Tim’...muhahahaha…
PS Thanks for the idea Cecilia...even though I have never met you, or even spoken to you!!
