Okay, so it's been a few days. I have a few things to post, namely an update, a private entry, and then get some sleep before tomorrow. So, in quick synopsis form...
Wed. was pretty cool because Heather came over after her class and we hung out, played Super Smash Brothers Melee and watched the first 7 episodes of Angelic Layer since she hasn't seen it yet. Between that, dinner, lunch, and the randomness that could only be associated with teenagers being teenagers, we reached the 10pm threshold and parted ways. I really didn't notice the time passing, and it wasn't until I sat down that night to work on my con report that I noticed the problem at hand. Wed. had vanished on me.
Today was a little better, although not much. Steve came over late in the afternoon, but today was full of headaches. Ever since I got back from AX, my parents have been on vacation in Morro Bay, and the kitchen counters have been being replaced. Well, someone has to be there to make decisions, suggestions, and check the work. Take a wild guess who that person is? This has been such a large amount of stress and has been making me want to get out of here and back to Monterey more and more with each passing day. Today's example of stress is the garbage disposal. To make a long story short (too late?) there is a metal ring that is visible when you look at a regular sink. Beneath that ring is a little rubber doo-hickey (called a gasket) that keeps food from spitting back out at you when you turn the disposal on. Now, my mother wanted a new metal ring, which wasn't possible since Waste King, the makers of the disposal, created a proprietary solution. I told her this, she gets bitchy and says she will talk to our contractor AFTER I offer to just pay the $60 for a new one. 20 minutes later, she calls back to say David will be getting us a new disposal unit. I had to bite my tongue really hard. I guess logic sounds better coming from the person you are paying by the hour. ~_~
This evening was okay, post 6 pm. I had to drive out to Bedrosians, which for those native to the Sacramento area, is on the Rancho Cordova side of 50. I had to make the drive and come back in 5pm Sunrise traffic. Instead of fighting Sunrise, where there was a major accident, on the way back I opted for Hazel. Was much quicker, and actually got back around 6:15 or so. Steve came over about 8 or so, I finished my con report, and we played some SSBM and Soccer Slam. Finally though, the midnight hour approached and Steve had to go work his last night shift. We parted ways and I came here, back to the computer. That brings us to now, at this exact instant. Right now, while you are reading this. So you - yes you! Stop reading! Do whatever it is you do when you don't read this anymore! :)
