Somehow, it shouldn't be surprising that I am not in Monterey. I decided to wait on the trip until this weekend, so I could go with my parents, who have the trailer and 90% of the furniture I would be needing anyway. It is kind of hard to set up a computer without something to set it on. That being said, I am still here in Roseville, typing away on my parents' computer, while my brother blasts rap music, shaking houses three blocks down. If it's not already obvious, part of me is eager to get back, while the other half of me wants to stay. The third half of me is kicking the shit out of the two former halves who can't seem to decide between themselves. Tsuu, I swear sometimes making basic decisions is a lot harder than it should be.
I have spent the morning and most of the afternoon packing, which has mostly consisted of putting stuff in boxes and then moving the boxes to another room so they are all in one place. I figure I will have to move the boxes at least twice more before I actually get to start taking stuff out of them. Add to that a need for leaving only furniture (and a clear path for loading) and you have what will likely be my life between now and Saturday.
I have also been spending a lot of time working on GM related things, since gaming has always been a pleasant escape from the mundane thing called school. Be it High Fantasy, Star Wars, or Cyberpunk, I wanted to have a few minor quests just in case we wanted to do something the first few weeks of school.
Eventually I will put up my maps and stuff for those who read the gamemastering LJ I am a part of. I will probably also be asking for people to help with area and quest development. If you happen to be someone who actually likes that sort of thing, don't hesitate to let me know. ^_^
