"So are you going to Spring Formal?"
I choked back a laugh as I tried to figure out a way to answer that. Lacking usual wit (it was still AM after all) I tried to carefully form an answer that would step me around her question since I knew what the inevitable follow up if I didn't word it right. My attempts at manipulating the English language failed, and I replied, "Spring Formal? Me? Yeah, right, like I have someone to ask."
"What abou-"
"No," I cut her off before she could rattle off the name I had no desire to hear. Thankfully from there we split into our Ethics group and the topic was quickly forgotten. There is something about that class that just grates on my nerves. It could be the teacher, it could be the people in the class, or it could be some twisted combination of the two. It makes my Tuesdays and Thursdays less enjoyable. I got most of the work done I had promised to for the group project, and posted the piece of shit group project. I suppose if you really want I can send you the link, but it screams "Jakob put no work into this". I think it was maybe an hour, tops. While talking in pants. And playing Skies of Arcadia. So really, once you factor in all the smaller things, by spending an hour I really mean about 20 minutes, if that.
I got an unexpected surprise in the mail today as well. Ever since I had been moved to Foundation pay at work (instead of State of California), I have had a very different pay period and cycle. Instead of being paid once a month around the 15th, I instead am paid twice a month at varying intervals. My paychecks are at a different location and this location is also closed at lunch. Having now been getting my paycheck here for 9-10 weeks, I can honestly say I still am not getting it right. This has some positive and negative aspects of course. For example, on the negative side, it is really easy to forget about a paycheck because you can't remember if the week was a paycheck or time sheet week. On the positive side, you can come home from a pretty lame day and find a check sitting on your chair for $180 you didn't know you had and weren't actually counting on budget-wise. On the negative side, this makes the prospect of importing Soul Calibur 2 far too tempting.
FTP is finally up and working, which is a really good thing. http://www.felocity.org/ftp.shtml will have most, if not all of the information. I did my best to transfer all the login information over, but if for some reason I forgot about yours or I messed it up, just yell at me or something. For those that can get in, be somewhat kind to the uploads directory, as I only have about 5gb to play with right now until I migrate more things over.
Oh, and HBF did a shift. I always love it when this happens because I don't really care where I end up. Instead, I just laugh at everyone who complains about being moved farther back in the pages. I ended up on that site because of Kitsune (who is livin' it up in Sin City at the moment), so really my loyalty lies there, but don't go telling them that.
And finally, since I am rambling, in 8 hours is my community scan, where I get to walk the neighborhood around my service site in order to understand it better. We shall see how that goes I suppose.
In response to "I’ve Got 16 Seconds (And I Don’t Wanna Stop)":
Are you there?
I was waiting for this kind of posts ...
