Advance Wars 2 takes me back to the days of Turn-Based Strategy and I am loving every minute of it. The process of plotting, planning, and executing a well thought out battle plan is much better than anything RTS could offer. And there is a thrill and satisfaction in sending out big tanks to whoop on the little things. I've had the game maybe 4 hours, gotten two good games in, and it has been good fun. Plus, now I can play (thanks to the Game Boy Player) Link to the Past on my Gamecube. It's the SNES reborn (again)!

In other news, I have been busy doing work for ASAP and started looking for a job. My tutoring center decided they were going to be lame about my summer work. On one hand, this gives me my summer, but on the other, if I find a job that offers somewhat comparable pay and better hours, I doubt I will continue with my tutoring center into the fall. Shame too, I really liked working there, but living in Monterey on seven hours a week is beyond impossible.

I am hoping to do one or two new Naruto Wallpapers soon, since I have some ideas in my head. Since that seems to be one of the biggest reasons for people coming here, I'd hate to disappoint. ^_^;

Additionally, our cable modem needs a fix, really bad. There is a known problem with our Surfboard 4200, confirmed by Motorola. Motorola says talk to our provider, our provider doesn't want to patch the network. And so, we are left with a buggy modem in need of a firmware upgrade. Eric was going to see about patching it, and I dug up some utilities and firmware files for it. Apparently, it is a lot of work if you want to keep your firmware current, updated, and working. So much for buying the "recommended" modem. If I wasn't planning to be gone from the apartment, I would just buy a D-Link or any other DECENT modem.

Hmm, beyond all this, have nothing more. Well, except for girl who crazy thanks to a lack of oxygen to the brain, my bro not really cleaning up the house and having lots of people over, and I'm sure there is something else there on the back of my mind, but I'm ignoring it.

No more bad dreams either.
