Hmm, somehow the weekend flew by, although I am still trying to figure out how. We had today off in honor of Ceaser Chavéz. We don't get Lincoln's Birthday, but we do get this. There is a certain level of irony in it falling on April 1st, but I will save that for a later date, as I have a lot of updating and writing to do.

Let us backtrack to Friday, when we held a SW RPG session. It went rather well actually, and I was very impressed with the end results from the group. Everything seems to be coming together nicely, although the group is moving a bit too fast for me to be able to work with. I like to stay at least a few scenes ahead, and that buffer has been stripped from me unfortunately. So I made do, resorted to handwriting GM notes and drawing maps on graph paper, trying to make the most of it all. It seemed to work. We finished late, and I was destined to get up early for Great America.

This was what Sat. was...excitement city. I remember back to BEST club in 7th grade where CJ and I were not fond of the roller coasters and so instead we just wandered around and killed time. Hey, it was free, so was Amtrak, who was I to complain? I also remember winning a giant red dog which was a mother's day gift. But that was way back then. Now I actually enjoy hanging in a harness with only 2 inches of material keeping me from plummeting several hundred feet head first into certain death and destruction. Must've lost some brain cells. Anyway, I made notes in my little memo book so that I could retell the GA story with a reasonable level of accuracy. So here goes this:

The # of 5'8" 70 lbers is nauseating I get a feeling that I wrote this while G, Karen, and I were standing in line. There was just something, well, not right about all these people that are 14 years old (if they are lucky) trying to look "sexy". I mean shit, a bunch of girls, and yes I do mean girls, were ahead of us in line, and I swear that every single thing they were wearing was "trendy". You know, like "The GAP" or some shit like that.

Red hair, red shirt, glasses, cute. What is it w/ me & weird hair? o.O Okay, for those that know me a bit better than they should know how I get about chicks with funky hair. It's one of those things that to me make a girl stand out. Anyway, there was a girl with really cool red streaks in her hair while we were waiting for Top Gun. I thought at the time I would only see her once that day. Boy was I wrong.

She keeps checking my pants...4 times I count. Well, while still waiting in line, she continued looking over at me, and I couldn't figure out why. I mean, this is me... Jakob. Females taking interest in me is something that just doesn't happen. I probably blushed, but G was kind and if I did she didn't say anything. Anyway, it was several switchbacks later when I realized she was looking at my pants of all things. Mentally, I was thinking "cool". Realistically, I was completely confused.

All the people trying to be trendy...wearing what pop ppl wear, pushing the stereotype onward ... They all look the same. Drones I say drones. There is something that is just wrong about the way people dress. The shirts with no backs for the girls, the wraps and headbands / hats for the black guys, the replication of the clothing styles I saw on MTV just last week. I swear, if some pop icon starts wearing black gloves, there will be a surge in the number of black gloves purchased. The effect of the media on the teenage populous is disturbing. Very very disturbing.

gk funny. soccer ball I have absolutely no idea what the fuck I wrote this about. Um, I did win a soccer ball, I know that much. Let's just move on.

Invertigo - finally working. wait well worth it. G, Karen, Bob and I. We rode a ride with Bob. Who was Bob? Bob was the man who occupied the seat next to G. Bob is also a fictitious person. IT helped take the edge out of the fact that one of the harnesses in the 4 seats was locked down as broken. Talk about unnerving! It was okay though, as we made it through the ride more or less not wanting to fall over out of dizziness when we were done.

@ Stealth finally open. RHC here 2. what are odds. she and i talking with gestures. Stealth finally reopened, and it was well worth the wait in line that we had. The coaster itself was a "flying" coaster. You sat down, and then the seats all tilted so that you were on your back, looking up. At just past the part where you go up, the coaster flips over. The end result is going head first, hanging in your harness as you go through the loops and corkscrews. RHC is the red haired chick, who was in line with us yet again. This made about the 6th ride where this happened. Somehow, we got to talking in a pseudo sign language type form. Namely, gestures and moving lips. It was pretty cool. Stealth made for a good note to end on.

After that, G and I drove back to campus, I got home, and I gave Marce a call. Sunday consisted of some more SW RPG, and I got Renter into the story partially. I still have a lot of writing to do for the scripts though, but it will have to wait. Thankfully the next scheduled play date isn't until this weekend or so.

Yesterday was spent just chilling over at sh0ck's house. We were originally going to play, but instead we played Shenmue and Dance Dance Revolution. In all honesty, it was more fun than RPG, and it probably kept the group from getting burned out. Being of which it is almost 8am, I need to tackle some of the work that is due today. Namely my HCOM paper topic idea. I also need to do some ID work.

dr. jones, dr. jones get up now
