sitting in a class

I think the only good thing that ever came out of my Internet Programming class to date is the fact that I can update this while sitting and pretending to be taking notes. He is going over the final project, and I am trying really hard not to laugh. For those who are affluent in Java, you will get a kick out of this:

One big joke. The professor is talking about how wonderful Java is, how it is cross-platform, and a bunch of other pro-java propaganda. I am getting a feeling that this class is going to create a bunch of people that are pro-Java and feel like you can do anything in Java. This is the same problem with Media Tools, where they teach one technology as the ideal technology for a given situation. Honestly, I am not surprised I got an email from a student a bit ago asking me to help them with their flash website. Flash Website?! I asked them what it was for, and they explained that the page was an informational page for students. ... grrrr.

This is my only class for the day, and after this, I am going to get some lunch and do some work at ASAP. Add some shopping in the evening, some RPG prep, and you have a pretty full day.
