I've got some of the worst fucking design block ever right now. I can't bring myself to be creative and do anything. I need to do work for the CAC web site, and I need to do work on the CSUMB Anime Club Page. In the context of the later, I sat there and stared at a sheet of paper for a good 3-4 hours and nothing materialized. I've never frozen for this long on a layout before, so hopefully after a bit of sleep I will get an idea for something.
My brother did the graduation thing on Friday. He seems to be no worse for wear, although he is at Grad Night right now. At the graduation ceremony, I got to see some of the people from HS I didn't mind seeing, didn't see a few of the people I had hoped to see, but managed to avoid all the people I had hoped to avoid. I didn't realize how many people I knew in school had younger siblings three years behind. It was warm, although not terribly hot, and when I got back I got a chance to relax and work on the more technical side of the anime club page. I also learned the servers so kindly provided by CSUMB are the most restrictive, useless, worthless things out there. There is no cgi, no MySQL, but we get PHP. However, the server automatically chmods any files you try and create, and the PHP writefile is disabled. What this actually translates to is that I do not have neither jack nor crap for resources to work with. I had to hand modify a PHP script for our news posting, but I don't think I can do that for the message board. I am hoping Bay Area Anime can help with that. If we could get a board hosted by them, that would be very cool. I could even develop the skin/style for it so it felt integrated into the site. .... oh wait, I don't know what the site is going to look like. -_-;
In other news, the pants chat was interesting and left me with a headache from its insanity. I still don't really remember half of what went on.
I think that will do it for now. Time to curl up and stare at that damn paper some more.
