Today was really a good day, which was nice since I haven't had a genuinely good day in a while. Now, by a good day, I mean more than just things going my way. I also mean beautiful weather, some time to be introspective, not feeling rushed, being incredibly productive, and then reaching night at being perfectly content with how the day went. Yeah, it was one of those days. ^^

The day started out with me running almost late, but I ended up getting to class just in time. The class itself was a lab, which meant I didn't have to spend the time listening to Rick talk, and we got to try some hands on stuff. Of course, our group didn't need to go through the basics, so we took it a step farther and started subnetting and seeing what we could do with 4 PCs, an external telnet, a switch, and some time. It made for an interesting lab, especially since Rick could help us when we got stuck on a few configuration things.

After that, I got to go to the wharf on my own for a while, which was really cool. I got my rubber octopus, and then walked the wharf and took in the sun and fresh air. I think that was the exact thing I needed to lift my spirits after a long weekend of work and stuff. I even treated myself to some very yummy clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. By the time I wandered back to the car, I felt alive, awake, and happy. The best part was, time-wise it was only an hour or so that had passed, meaning I had another three to relax and take care of things! I ran to Target and got a new razor since when I actually do shave I go through blades like water, and then went back to ASAP where I did a bunch of emails and a lot of productive stuff.

Class with Yee was boring and unproductive, so I left early, talked to Marc, and had a good evening at work. Add to that an okay dinner and more work in the evening, and today has been pretty successful. I think I will probably work on the rest of the handout for the panel and then leave it at that. :D
