I never realized that every other week, Laundryday inserted itself right after Friday. I think it comes out of necessity, and occasionally inserts itself before Monday as well, although that seems less infrequent. Rumor has it, Homeworkday and Laundryday trade places, although there is no scientific proof to back any of it up.
It's past noon, the power flicked out at my house, my computer is sleeping, and I am at Gretchen's doing laundry for the wonderful price known as 0. I got to sleep in, the sunlight waking me at seven, the temperature (courtesy of Raul jacking the thermostat up) at 10, necessity finally at 11. Needless to say, it was a bit of a fitful sleep. When I got back this morning from SC around 3:30, the house was actually empty. Eric was gone, Raul was gone, and I wasn't sure if Jake was or not, but his door was shut which meant he either was gone or already fast asleep. Being as quiet as possible, in my drowsy state, I kicked off shoes and pants and crawled into bed. I seem to do that a lot when I get home in the 2+ am hour. I suppose it is because I don't see much point in getting "ready for bed" when you will be up in a matter of hours anyway.
So now, let us back up to yesterday. I left ASAP right on time, and actually got to Santa Cruz about 15 minutes early, traffic and all. Since Andrew's room was opened, I poked my head in, and we ended up talking for about 20 minutes. Please take note that earlier, I said I was only 15 minutes early. ^^ I scrambled upstairs to see H, only to discover she had just gotten back herself, and we were joining Matt, C, and the Creative Writing Club at a place called "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall". Now THAT is a great name for a restaurant. I think I will open a party store and build off this trend and call it "99 Red Balloons". :) Anyway, H and I couldn't find them, so we settled for what I can only call Mexican Bistro. No, the two should not mix, but when you pay for high class mexican food that is more american than your Ford, you know you are in for an experience. In this case, the experience wasn't particularly wonderful, but it was food, and we were both pretty hungry.
After the food, we chilled in the book store reading and stuff until it was time to line up for HP. The talk about the movie and stuff is a whole entry byb itself. It had been so long since I picked up the book that I wasn't really lost, but I was a bit annoyed at the removal of some of my favorite scenes. It was made more into an action flick. Harry Potter as the Last Action Hero. ... -_-() yeah. Anyway, after the movie, H and I walked back to the Inn, and then went to the SC Diner for some okay food. I must say, it was better than the usual Denny's bit, and it didn't make my stomach hurt, which I consider a good thing.
So now if that was this morning, what is today? Well, I am going to find my way back up to the great green north for Escaflowne tonight, and then who knows form there. Sunday is SAMO, and Monday is back to the academic grindstone. Until Monday comes though, it's time to make the most of every day! Or change my laundry over... that too. ^^
