You look at me like I run this joint

Blogging is an addiction of sorts; once you start, you really have no desire to stop. It is crack for those of us who enjoy shooting our mouths off at a world that doesn't care. Hell, I've been doing it since late '99, only because I was too lazy to keep a "real" journal. (Yes, I did have a paper journal, but I lost it about 7 times before deciding it was too much trouble.)

I ended up staying up late doing a Naruto Wallpaper as a request for the guy who runs downloadanime.org and will probably e-mail it off shortly after finishing this posting. Downloadanime is a lot like AnimeSuki, only a bit more community oriented instead of a release site. I think of it as some sick twisted love child of Noated and AnimeSuki, with Anipike as the Godfather of it. Anyway, if you want anime (and have the bandwidth to do it) you can access BitTorrent links for most of the fansub groups out there. Additionally, there are HTTP sites as well for people who are stopped by firewalls and can't use something like BitTorrent.

I am supposed to return to Sacramento tomorrow, though I am not totally sure when I am leaving. Part of me wants to go as soon as possible since I miss Joel and Steve. I haven't seen either since New Years, and Joel and I will probably talk about some things. (Can I call it guy stuff and get away with it?) We also have the Geekend, for which I am looking forward to quite a bit. Roleplaying with the Sac group is always light, always fun, and is a common memory we carry, much like we do out chaos games of Magic: The Gathering. We still wear our geekdom on our sleeves like fucking badges, just like we did in high school. Another reason to be looking forward to this weekend is Escaflowne, for which I will get to see some of, and hopefully all of. Sure, I already watched it once, but this will be an Escaflowne marathon, and I get to see the first 4 episodes (which I missed last time). I wasn't really planning on sleeping this weekend anyway.

Finally, yes, although I am home, I am still participating in the HBF theme. Such is the joy of using a script to retrieve the latest cam image. Instructions: Draw yourself in MS Paint. Let me just say that Tycho has a better drawing. You've been warned for when Saturday rolls around.

Oh, and welcome Porkfry and Kule Inc to the portals. Kule runs a comic, and Porkfry is well, porktastic.
